Monaco GP

Where iconic skills on the line and millimetric accuracy happens. It's about tight street not speed.

Nestled in the streets of Monte Carlo, this historic Formula 1 circuit first hosted the pinnacle of motorsport in 1950, before returning in 1955. It then hosted the Grand Prix until 2019. The race was cancelled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This track is one of the most challenging on the calendar, given the barriers that run alongside the narrow circuit. This obviously makes overtaking more difficult throughout the 19 corners. It's worth noting that Monaco is the only circuit where the full 305 km distance is not covered. In fact, the 78 laps are completed in 260.286 km.

While sometimes judged as overrated by some F1 fans, our answer is categorical: you have to be there to understand the attractiveness and complexity of Monaco.

A symbol of modernity in the Principality, our luxury hotel in Monaco is a perfect balance between the heritage of a historic destination and a contemporary lifestyle lived to the fullest. Blending a mix of urban pleasures, the Mediterranean way of life and the latest international trends, the Fairmont Monte Carlo encapsulates a state of being that is present in every moment.

The iconic Virage of Fairmont, every year, an unobstructed view of the world's slowest corner gives you goosebumps! Last year, the Fairmont and Nikki Beach Monaco collaborated with Ferrari, featuring not red but azure blue, and adorned their décor in this color. As a surprise guest, Charles Leclerc made an appearance before the race. And if you're lucky, at the end of each race, the drivers wave to you at the corner.

Monaco will always hold a special place in F1 fans heart, where Senna achieved his greatest number of victories. F1 fans will always be captivated not by the speed, but by the complexity of the corners; a millimeter too far and a crash is guaranteed on this circuit. F1 isn't about speed, but about strategy and millimeters, and Monaco proves it.
